FAQ

Custom metal labels — common questions

Durable identification plates made from metal — usually stainless steel, anodized aluminum or brass — with your text, logo, serial numbers, barcodes or QR codes laser-engraved, etched or printed into the surface. They outlast paper and film labels in industrial, outdoor and high-wear environments.

Laser engraving and mechanical engraving cut the marking into the metal for a permanent, high-contrast finish. Chemical (photo) etching dissolves the marking into the surface and is ideal for fine detail, logos and large runs. We recommend the method that best fits your material, detail and durability need on a free proof.

Options include 304/316 stainless steel, anodized aluminum (5–12 mil), brass and nickel in brushed, polished, matte or anodized-colour finishes. The quote confirms the material and finish for the job.

Durability depends on the metal, finish, mounting and actual exposure. Send the temperature, weather, chemical and cleaning conditions with the RFQ. If a test report is required, state the method and duration so the document can be matched to the quoted material.

Reference prices are shown in 100 / 300 / 500 / 1000 tiers. The MOQ is usually 100–500 pieces, depending on complexity. Custom options typically change the unit price by about US$0.30-US$0.60 per piece, and the written quote confirms the final price.
