It can encode a URL, record identifier or other approved text. Confirm who can access the destination and keep a readable asset ID on the tag when manual lookup is required.
Payload length, module size, quiet zone, scan distance and the available tag face determine the size. Send the longest destination and expected scanning method for layout review.
Yes when staff need a fallback if the code is damaged, the phone cannot scan it or the linked record is unavailable. Keep the printed ID short enough to read and enter manually.
The proof checks source data, code placement and surrounding space. Coded batches are scan-tested before shipment. Test a representative sample with the installed phone or scanner when the location is critical.
