A 0.25 x 1 in (6×25 mm) rectangle, 5 mil anodized aluminum (0.13 mm), marked with your custom text, logo, barcode, QR code or serial numbers. The rectangular profile gives the most room for multi-line text, a logo and a barcode. The print sits below the sealed anodic layer, so abrasion, UV and most chemicals wear the surface, not your barcode or serial number.

Is this the right size? At 0.25 in² (1.61 cm²) of marking face this is a small tag — the size we quote most often for hand tools, valves, fittings and instrument bodies. It holds about 10 characters on a line, enough for a 1D barcode but under the face area a 2D code needs once its quiet zone is allowed for. It fastens through a punched hole to your drawing, so it does not depend on surface preparation.
